Bottled crazy

I haven't been here for a while... But I'm back with a blast! Do you remember those yarn-wrapped bottles from this post? I'm still not getting bored with wrapping, but I decided to spice it up a bit, especially since I found a challenge on one of the Polish crafter pages :) Seemed like a perfect one for me, since it included... bottles...

I planned three bottles, but I was stopped by Ceylon Snowflake beads suddenly running low, so for the sake of the challenge, there are only two bottles. Third, smallest, is waiting for her beaded collar and she will most likely join the bigger sisters soon. For the moment:

Butelkowe szaleństwa

Okropnie dawno mnie tutaj nie było... Za to wracam z hukiem :) Pamiętacie jeszcze oplatane butelki z tego posta? Oplatanie wcale mi się nie nudzi, ale postanowiłam je nieco urozmaicić, tym bardziej, że trafiłam na wyzwanie Szuflady o tematyce jakby specjalnie pod chodzący mi po głowie pomysł ;)

W zamyśle butelki miały być trzy, ale na drodze stanęły mi braki w koralikach Ceylon Snowflake, więc na czas konkursu powstały tylko dwie. Trzecia, najmniejsza z zestawu, czeka na swój koralikowy kołnierzyk i wkrótce na pewno do większych sióstr dołączy :) Tymczasem zaś:

Triple bracelet

I recently got an order for a triple bracelet in spring-summer colours. Since the Buyer chose bronze colours for the clasp, the colours turned out more spring-summer-autumn, but they were completely approved :) My pleasure!
And this is the bracelet itself:

A kitty, because kitties are the best in the world and the clasp was hidden in my stash for some time, waiting for its moment :D I used Toho beads in size 11/0 and colours Silver Lined Lemon, SL Frosted Olivine and Inside Color Lt Jonquil/Apricot.

Potrójna bransoletka

Dostałam ostatnio zamówienie na trzyrzędową bransoletkę w kolorach wiosenno-jesiennych. Ponieważ jednak Zamawiająca chciała zapięcia w kolorze brązu, siłą rzeczy dobrane odcienie wyszły bardziej wiosenno-letnio-jesienne, ale podobały się bardzo :) Cała przyjemność po mojej stronie!
A bransoletka wygląda tak:

Koteczek, bo koteczki są najfajniejsze na świecie, a przepiękne zapięcie leżało u mnie już jakiś czas i czekało na swoją szansę :) Koraliki Toho 11/0 w kolorach Silver Lined Lemon, SL Frosted Olivine i Inside Color Lt Jonquil/Apricot.

Upcycling bottles

It's time for vases :D
I recently fell for wrapping bottles - I found it hard to throw away some of the already emptied ones I had and thus I began my internet search for a way to make them even better. I found one and I love it :) Now I really wrap A LOT of them and soon I'm going to give them to cat care foundation Koci Pazur, so they can sell them on one of the auctions and earn some money for kitties <3 p="">
Basically, the wrapping method is really simple - all you need is a ball of yarn (not too shaggy), double-sided tape and something to impregnate the material so they can be washed. I'm also thinking about painting some of the bottles from the inside, so pieces of tape won't be visible.

Plus there's a hunting side - each week I'm going to local second-hand shop to poach some new yarns <3 p="">

Best part is - you can make them and listen to e-book/participate in conversation/watch TV, because they're so easy to make :D

Butelkowy upcykling

Czyli pora na wazony :D
Napadło mnie tak jakiś czas temu na oplatanie butelek - szkoda mi było wyrzucić którąś z ładniejszych butelek już opróżnionych i zaczęłam szperać po necie za sposobem na ich upiększenie. Znalazłam i zakochałam się :) Teraz masowo okręcam butelki na wazony i za jakiś czas Fundacja Koci Pazur otrzyma je ode mnie do sprzedania na którejś z akcji. Na pewno dam o tym znać!

Generalnie metoda oplatania jest zabawnie prosta - potrzebna jest włóczka lub kordonek (nie może być zbyt "kłacząca"), dwustronna taśma klejąca, impregnat (żeby butelki można było myć) i jeszcze planuję część butelek polakierować od środka czymś nierozpuszczalnym w wodzie, żeby taśma nie była widoczna spod jaśniejszych włóczek :)

No i dochodzi element łowczy, czyli moje namiętne polowanie na ciekawe włóczki w jednym z poznańskich ciucheksów <3 p="">

Najprzyjemniejsze jest chyba to, że można je robić i jednocześnie rozmawiać/słuchać e-booka/oglądać seriale, bo są takie proste :D

In theory I do have a lot of time lately, but it's all consumed by creating stuff and not writing about it on the internets. Impatient fingers :) It's high time to brag about something!

I developed the kitty pattern myself. With each next it's turning out better and better and now I have new idea for the earrings. Basically, it's rivoli bezeling plus ears and tails. And this is how they turn out:

Swarovski rivolis are in sizes 8, 14, 12 i 8 mm, and in colours Silver Night (big kitty's body) and Black Diamond (rest). Wrapped in Toho Round beads in sizes 15 and 11, and colors: Transparent Rainbow Crystal, Silver-lined Frosted Crystal and SLF Black Diamond. All parts made of silver, plus silver necklace about 40 cm in length.


I also made a set for my friend in pinks and whites (raspberry ice cream!), with dot-earrings in place of kitties:

Rivoli in sizes 18, 14 and 8 mm, and color Fuchsia. Toho Round beads in 11 and 15, and colors Inside Color Crystal/Snow lined and Gold-lustered Raspberry. Also - silver :)
